Scheme Setup & Rules
We work with your HR and legal teams to document scheme rules, enrollment criteria, contribution limits, allotment schedule, and employer co-contribution structure.
Corporate Equity Administration
Shares Saver administers employer-sponsored employee share savings plans for NGX-listed companies in Nigeria. We process monthly contributions, purchase shares on behalf of enrolled employees, and register those shares directly in each employee's own name through the CSCS — with full SEC Nigeria and NGX compliance reporting.
An employee share plan manager handles the complete operational administration of a company's equity incentive programme. For most NGX-listed companies, this is a resource-intensive function that intersects HR, legal, finance, and company secretarial operations — and requires specialised knowledge of SEC Nigeria rules, CAMA 2020 requirements, and CSCS registration processes.
Shares Saver acts as your dedicated employee share plan manager — removing this operational burden from your internal team while ensuring your scheme is administered accurately, compliantly, and transparently. Our platform records every enrollment, monthly purchase, CSCS registration, and dividend payment in real time.
For companies in Lagos with executive teams in Victoria Island and Ikoyi, Shares Saver provides in-person consultation alongside our digital platform — supporting your remuneration committee, company secretary, and HR director with tailored advice and administration.
We work with your HR and legal teams to document scheme rules, enrollment criteria, contribution limits, allotment schedule, and employer co-contribution structure.
We process each employee's enrollment, collect CSCS account details, and coordinate payroll deduction setup with your HR and payroll team.
We execute monthly share purchases based on employee contributions and employer allotment instructions, per your scheme rules and NGX market conditions.
Each tranche of purchased or allotted shares is registered in the individual employee's own name through the CSCS — not in a nominee or pooled structure.
Each employee accesses their shareholding records, purchase history, dividend credits, and ownership documentation directly through the Shares Saver app.
We help your company secretary with SEC Nigeria notifications, NGX disclosure announcements, and FIRS employer reporting related to employee share benefits.
Most employee incentive programmes involve complex equity structures — stock options, vesting schedules, restricted units — that are hard for employees to understand and expensive to administer. The benefit often feels abstract.
Shares Saver takes a simpler, more powerful approach: employees own shares directly in their own name from day one. Every employee can see exactly what they own, what dividends they have received, and what their shareholding is worth at today's NGX market price.
That clarity drives engagement. A share that is visibly owned — registered in your name on the CSCS — creates a stronger sense of ownership than a conditional promise that may vest in three years.
Immediate Ownership
Shares are registered in the employee's own name as soon as they are purchased — no waiting period
Ownership Culture
Employees think and act like shareholders — because they are shareholders
Wealth Creation
Monthly contributions compound into meaningful share ownership over years of employment
Employer-Sponsored Administration
The employer pays the administration fee — making the benefit genuinely free for employees
Alignment with Shareholders
Employee interests align directly with company performance — shared upside, shared dividends
Regulatory Compliance
All schemes managed by Shares Saver are administered in line with SEC Nigeria rules on Employee Share Investment Schemes, CAMA 2020 requirements, NGX listing obligations, CSCS registration standards, and FIRS employer reporting guidelines.
An employee share plan manager handles the full operational administration of a company's employee share savings scheme. This includes processing monthly share purchases, registering shares through the CSCS directly in each employee's own name, administering dividends, producing compliance reporting for SEC Nigeria and NGX, and providing employees with clear records of their shareholding.
Shares Saver does not administer stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), or vesting-based equity plans. Those are equity compensation tools more common in US and UK corporate structures. Shares Saver administers employee share savings schemes — where employees contribute monthly, shares are purchased and registered directly in their own name, and they own those shares immediately. No exercise price, no vesting period, no forfeiture.
Employees authorise a monthly payroll deduction. Shares Saver processes the purchase of company shares on their behalf and registers each allotment or purchase in the employee's own legal name through the CSCS. The employee becomes a named, registered shareholder of record — not a beneficiary of a pooled trust.
The shares belong entirely to the employee from the moment they are registered. Because Shares Saver's model involves direct share ownership — not conditional grants or options — there is nothing to forfeit. An employee who leaves simply retains the shares they have accumulated. They remain a registered shareholder until they choose to sell.
Yes. Many employer-sponsored schemes at Nigerian listed companies are partially or fully funded by the employer — either through a direct share allotment to employees or through matching contributions. Shares Saver administers both models. Employer-funded schemes are particularly effective for retention because the benefit is highly visible and immediately owned by the employee.
