The strongest protection is ownership
If Shares Saver disappeared tomorrow, you’d still own your shares
Not a reassurance — a structural fact. Your name is on the register at the registrar, so the shares are not ours to lose. Your data is encrypted, and nothing is held as a platform balance.
Registered in your name
The registrar records you as the holder — not a Shares Saver nominee account and not a pooled fund.
Trades executed by licensed brokers
We are not a stockbroker. Every purchase is placed on the NGX by an SEC-licensed broker partner.
Money held separately
Contributions sit in a client account until they buy shares. They are never working capital.
Why direct registration is the strongest protection
The safest position for a Nigerian stock investor is to have shares registered directly in your own name. When shares are held in a collective pool or shown as a platform balance, your access depends on that platform staying solvent. With Shares Saver, your ownership exists independently of us — which is why direct registration is the foundation of the model, not a feature.
How your investment is protected
- Regulated stockbroker execution. Every purchase is executed through SEC-regulated Nigerian stockbroker partners; Shares Saver never trades itself.
- Shares registered in your name. Not in Shares Saver’s books, but with the registrar and CSCS in your legal name.
- Independent ownership record. Your holding is recorded with the broker and registrar independently of us. If Shares Saver closed, your shares would be unaffected.
- Identity verification. Full KYC before any purchase protects the integrity of ownership records.
- Account security. Strong passwords, secure authentication and session management.
- Data protection. Personal information is stored and transmitted with industry-standard encryption, in line with Nigerian data-protection rules.
