The company
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery, in the Lekki Free Trade Zone in Lagos, is the world’s largest single-train refinery, with a nameplate capacity of 650,000 barrels a day. It supplies petrol and diesel to the Nigerian market and exports refined products.
The IPO offers 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 each, about ₦2.15 trillion in total, and the shares will list on the Main Board of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX). The proceeds are earmarked for expanding the refinery’s capacity.
Refinery earnings depend on crude oil costs, fuel prices, exchange rates and how reliably the plant runs. The prospectus sets out these risks in full.
