Who Greenwich Registrars Is
According to its own history, the business began in 1959 as a registrars department of what was then Barclays Bank in Nigeria, which later became Union Bank of Nigeria. As Union Registrars Limited it remained within the Union Bank group until 2014, when Union Bank sold 80% of it to Citadel Nominees Limited. It was renamed GTL Registrars Limited in 2015 and Greenwich Registrars and Data Solutions Limited in 2018.
Besides maintaining registers and running corporate actions for companies, Greenwich lists probate and estate administration among its services, and offers shareholders online forms for updating records, a mobile app and meeting pre-accreditation.
Old Names You May See on Documents

- GTL Registrars Limited: the name from 2015 to 2018.

A dividend warrant or certificate carrying an earlier name is still useful evidence. It shows who the registrar was when it was issued; confirm the company's current registrar before sending anything.
