Nigerian citizens living in Ghana — in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi or anywhere across the country — can buy and own NGX-listed shares directly in their own name through Shares Saver. A valid BVN and Nigerian bank account are required.
Only Nigerian citizens are currently eligible to invest through Shares Saver. Ghanaian nationals cannot invest at this time.
A valid Nigerian BVN (Bank Verification Number) is required to open an account and invest.
Ghanaian bank accounts (GHS) cannot be used for funding. A Nigerian bank account is required.
Ghana has one of the largest Nigerian communities in West Africa. Many Nigerians in Ghana are professionals, business owners, and entrepreneurs — some based in Accra long-term, others moving between Nigeria and Ghana for work. Shares Saver provides a way to maintain a formal financial stake in Nigeria from Ghana, with your shares registered in your legal name through regulated Nigerian brokers.

Your shares are registered directly in your legal name with the Nigerian registrar — not held in a pool or nominee account.
All onboarding, verification, and portfolio management is done through the Shares Saver app. No travel to Nigeria required.
Ghanaian bank accounts (GHS) cannot be used to fund Shares Saver. You will need your Nigerian bank account. Nigerians in Ghana can use remittance services or transfer funds from their Ghanaian account to their Nigerian naira account, then fund from there.
Nigerian shares are priced in Naira (₦). When transferring from a Ghanaian account, you will need to convert GHS to NGN. Exchange rates fluctuate — factor this into your investment planning.

Yes — but only Nigerian citizens are currently eligible. If you are a Nigerian citizen living in Ghana, you can buy shares listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) through Shares Saver, provided you have a valid BVN and an active Nigerian bank account.
Yes. A BVN (Bank Verification Number) is required. Your BVN links your identity to Nigeria's banking system and must be provided during onboarding. Obtaining a BVN is easier if you have access to a Nigerian bank branch — there are Nigerian banks operating in Ghana that may be able to assist.
Yes. A Nigerian bank account is required. Ghanaian bank accounts (GHS) cannot be used to fund your Shares Saver account. You must fund through your Nigerian bank account. Transferring GHS to a Nigerian account is possible via remittance services — contact support for current options.
Yes. The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) is Nigeria's primary stock exchange, listing Nigerian companies. The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) lists Ghanaian companies. Shares Saver only facilitates investment in NGX-listed Nigerian companies — not GSE-listed Ghanaian companies.
Yes. Shares are registered in your legal name with the relevant Nigerian registrar — regardless of your country of residence. Your ownership record is independent of the Shares Saver platform.
